Hopedale Country Club Clubhouse Re-Opens After Devastating Fire
Construction is nearly complete on the Hopedale Country Club Clubhouse.  As you may recall fire destroyed the building in April. Damage was so extensive the building was torn down and rebuilt.  The pro shop and the bar are now open for business and the kitchen is just undergoing a few finishing touches with an anticipated opening at the end of the week. Until the kitchen is open Oliva’s Market and Oregano’s Pizzeria are supplying sandwiches, chips and pizza for golfers and guests to enjoy.

The staff is eager to serve customers once again from the clubhouse and invite folks to stop on by and see their new building.

The Children of the Bright Beginnings Learning Center – Making a Difference in the Life of their “Honored Hero”

The Bright Beginnings Learning Center has made a donation of $1,143.24 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of their “Honored Hero” Scottie a 5yr old boy who is battling Leukemia.   The children and their parents with the assistance of school nurse Marie Atkinson raised the funds for the donation.  In addition to the donation the children made gifts for Scottie.

This is the 5th year that the center has adopted a local patient as their “Honored Hero” and made a donation in their honor.    The whole process teaches the children about getting involved in the community and giving to others.

Fire Strikes Hopedale Country Club

Sunday April 18th, Hopedale Country Club experienced a tragedy.  The golf clubhouse became engulfed in flames between 10 and 10:30pm. No other buildings were affected, but the clubhouse is a complete loss.  Firefighters continued to put out hot spots this morning and an investigation is still on going. So far there seems to be no suspicious activity related to this, just an unfortunate tragedy. Surrounding towns would like to offer their sympathy and support to Hopedale Country Club and anyone affected by the fire.
